Yesterday, John our driver was stopped on the M62 by the Greater Manchester Police. They were doing abnormal load checks. John was moving a Galeon 440 with a 4.1m beam accompanied by an escort vehicle, from Ireland to Sweden.

The police did a thorough investigation to check that we were compliant with all the many regulations. Checks included:- tachograph hours, operators license, vehicle and trailer compliance (ie wide load marker boards, beacons etc) and the movement order/permit.

We are delighted to say that we passed with flying colours. In fact, the police said that we were the first abnormal load this year that had been stopped with no faults whatsoever!  Well done driver John and Geoff for ensuring that all vehicle maintenance and compliance is always up to date!
