The Ukraine war rages on, not so prevalent in the news, but the cost to people’s lives, both physically and mentally,  cannot ever be counted !

Boat Transport Ltd, along with a number of sponsors and volunteers have been able to deliver 11 separate articulated lorries full of aid over the past two years. We have transported everything from nappies, mattresses, foot ware, toys, blankets and foodstuffs into both Poland and Romania; for onward transit into the Ukraine.

Thank you everyone for all your efforts and support; including our driver John who gave up his wages for nine days on his first trip to Poland. And of course Lee (our customs operative) who worked his magic on getting us through all those borders. We had a few hiccups of course, like when John had to mend a puncture in Germany on his own, and when a French custom officer wanted to send us back to the UK because we didn’t have the paperwork absolutely correct!

If you have a minute, please have a look at our Facebook page to see in more detail those that supported us and just how we were able to do it all. There are some good photos and videos on there too. It has been a very moving experience for us all, both the highs of being able to help, as well as the lows of seeing first hand the suffering of the Ukrainian people. https://www.facebook.com/boattransportbyroad

We plan to do at least one further trip in the next month; and have nearly all the finance required. We are searching for an organisation that has enough AID to fill an Arctic Box Trailer, and being winter, we know the Ukrainians are needing food and charcoal as soon as we can get it there. Please contact us if you know of any organisation that would like our help.
