This time Lyndon is driving, and Geoff is escorting a beautiful Nelson 38 from Dale Sailing, Neyland to Berthon in Lymington. Watch how we negotiate the tight Pembrokeshire roads, and navigate her safely into Lymington.

It was yet another interesting experience for us all. The filming took place in April 2024 on a nice sunny day, showing off our vehicles and the beauty of the boat. The Nelson ’38 was originally built in Neyland, and is one of the most well made boats you could ever buy. Not only are they pleasing to the eye, but their reliability and sea-worthiness is second to none.

We enjoyed bantering with the film crew, with the occasional stop off for a cuppa, and to send up the drone to film from overhead. We are getting used to being filmed now and I think Geoff rather enjoys the whole experience of sharing his knowledge of transporting boats over the last 37 years. His confidence and expertise and sometimes commanding ways come out on this latest episode...

So, enjoy watching and especially if you are thinking about transporting your boat for the first time, you can see she will be in very safe hands. We also have it on good authority that we shall soon be filmed again, so watch this space!

A special thanks to Brian Goddard whose boat it is, and also Dale Sailing for allowing the filming to take place in their yard.

Nicely loaded onto our trailer using one very sensible 35T hoist belonging to Dale Sailing

Geoff doing some much needed height measurements before giving the “all clear” that she would get under all the bridges safely

A particularly tight spot coming into the centre of Lymington
